Welcome to EaglesNestDallas
We represent Eagles
Fans here in the
Dallas/Ft. Worth area. We have members from all over the US; from Philly and Jersey to California
and Louisiana.
We even have homegrown ones from right here in Texas.
And we all bleed
Green!
As much as we all can,
we gather at
Austin Ave. Sports Bar and
Grille,
located in Plano, TX to watch the Eagles on the big screen.
We have about 30-60 people there on a regular basis, sometimes more, to watch the beloved
birds and cheer them on to victory!

Mike's RAMBLINGS...
Ramblings)
Updated January 15th, 2009
Looking back only 4 weeks ago, when the
Eagles had a chance to control their own
destiny with a win over the Redskins in week
16 of the NFL schedule, I figured that the
Eagles chances this year were over and that
the the recent wins were too little, too
late. I had no thoughts of them making it
this far. But, I was happily mistaken and
now they have brought us all back to the NFC
Championship game. This time against a
pretty hot Arizona team that is playing some
very good football of their own. Their
defense has played very well against two
pretty good running attacks in ATL and CAR.
I hope they have worn themselves down though
and Westbrook can have another big game,
like he did on Thanksgiving. This is
certainly not the same team we played that
day, but then we are better as well and have
been playing pretty good ourselves.
I know many pundits out there will say that
this has been a successful season with where
we are, but I do not think the players feel
that way and I hope they are driven to do
what many did not feel they could many weeks
ago. It appears that Dawkins is driven and
hope that his determination continues to be
carried over to the rest of the team.
That is about all I have for today, I would
love to be getting ready to go to Az. to
watch this game, but airlines ticket prices
have hindered that venture. But, like many
of you reading this, I will be at AA on
Sunday proudly wearing my Eagles gear and
cheering on the birds to victory and onto
the Super Bowl!!!!
I would also like to add that last week,
after the game, I tried a new sub shop off
of 75 called Jersey Mike's. I had to try
their Philly Cheese Steak to honor the
Eagles victory. I have to say that I was
extremely impressed with this huge sandwich
and it was very good! I actually had to go
and try another of their sandwiches
(Italian) to see if they were for real. I
highly recommend you give Jersey
Mike's a taste for you sub sandwich
cravings. Be aware, the large is a very big
sub. I would say like 14-16 inches
long...The owner of the Plano store, just
south of Park on 75-S, has signed up on the
forums and I hope you can welcome him.
Perhaps we can maybe work out something with
them for our members....
See you at AA on Sunday at 2pm!!!!

If you have not already done
so, please sign up on the
Forums
so that we can get the Yahoo site shut down. We will try
to be more diligent about pictures this year as there
were some games we just did not really get any. If you
have any pictures and want to submit them to put in our
Gallery, email them to me at
admin@eaglesnestdallas.com or
just put them on CD and bring them with you down to AA
for one of the games. Or just email me if you have any
questions...
So, until the next update...
